Each show features a quick-witted MC and three comedy acts, bringing together crowd work, sharp stand-up and an energetic late-night atmosphere.

The Comedy Lock-In takes place every Friday and Saturday, with fresh line-ups featuring comedians from Scotland, the wider UK and beyond. The venue has also welcomed surprise appearances from recognisable comedy names.

Whether it’s a fun gift for a comedy fan, a birthday escape, a weekend with a friend or simply a chance to laugh your way through Edinburgh, this break has all the ingredients for an unforgettable night out.

About The Experience

The Comedy Lock-In is an intimate evening of live stand-up hosted inside one of Edinburgh’s original pub comedy clubs.

Head upstairs through The Beehive Inn and into The Comedy Attic, where around 65 guests gather for a lively night of laughs. The trusted show format brings together one experienced MC and three comedy acts, with each performer offering their own style of humour.

The changing line-ups include established circuit comedians, touring headliners and emerging talent. The small-room setting means the audience is never far from the performers, creating the kind of electric, unpredictable atmosphere that makes live comedy so much fun.

The current schedules are at 8:15pm every Friday and Saturday, with doors opening at 8pm and the performance finishing at approximately 10pm.

It’s bold, lively and unapologetically late-night, so arrive ready to laugh and perhaps keep any heckling thoughts to yourself.
