What to Expect
 
Your journey begins at the McConnell’s Distillery & Visitor Experience, located in the atmospheric A-Wing of Crumlin Road Gaol. A knowledgeable guide will lead you through the history of McConnell’s, from its 18th-century origins to its modern-day revival. You’ll explore the whiskey-making process, from grain to glass, and witness how triple-distilled, single malt Irish whiskey is crafted using time-honoured techniques.
 
As you move through the distillery, you’ll visit the barrel room, learn about the influence of cask aging, and discover the secrets behind McConnell’s award-winning expressions. The experience concludes with a tutored tasting of four unique pours: a welcome drink, McConnell’s 5 Year, McConnell’s Sherry Cask, and a sample of ‘new make’ spirit fresh off the stills.
 
After the tour, relax in the on-site café or browse the gift shop for exclusive bottles and merchandise.
