What to Expect
 
Your experience begins in the village of Skipwith, where you’ll be greeted by Gordon and one of his carriage horses. After a warm welcome, you’ll climb aboard your open-top or enclosed carriage—depending on the weather—and set off on a gentle ride through the estate. The route winds through woodland tracks and quiet country lanes, offering beautiful views and a chance to spot local wildlife.
In the warmer months, enjoy the fresh air in an open-top carriage, while in cooler or rainy weather, you’ll stay cozy in a closed carriage complete with fluffy blankets, cushions, and hot water bottles. Midway through the ride, you’ll pause to enjoy a complimentary hot drink, adding a comforting touch to your countryside adventure.
The ride ends back at the starting point, but you can choose to extend your day with a visit to a local tearoom for afternoon tea or a traditional ploughman’s lunch (advance booking recommended; food not included).
