Departing from Dunkeswell Aerodrome, you’ll join a qualified pilot for a 30-minute flight over some of Devon’s most picturesque locations, including Culmstock Beacon, the Wellington Monument, and former RAF airfields. What to Expect
 
Your experience begins at the Aviator Coffee Bar and Restaurant at Dunkeswell Aerodrome, where you’ll meet your pilot on the patio area and receive a pre-flight briefing. You’ll learn about the motor glider’s controls, safety procedures, and flight route. If you’re feeling adventurous, you’ll also have the option to try handling the aircraft under the pilot’s supervision.
 
Once airborne, you’ll glide over the Blackdown Hills, taking in panoramic views of the Devonshire countryside. Highlights include the historic Culmstock Beacon, built in 1588 to warn of the Spanish Armada; the Wellington Monument, the tallest three-sided obelisk in the world; and Culmhead and Upottery, two former RAF airfields steeped in World War II history.
 
This is a private flight, tailored to your comfort and interests. The motor glider offers a smooth and quiet ride, ideal for sightseeing and aerial photography. Please note that passenger weight must not exceed 100kg, and the experience is not suitable for those with certain medical conditions.
